A Refreshingly Independent Direction in Book Publishing

Our readers are special. They typically have a pencil on hand while reading a book. They don’t hesitate to make notes in the margin. They choose Meripoint titles because they know once they open the cover, they will be drawn into a whirling world of ideas and inspiration.

Our Story

We’ve all heard family stories growing up. I was no different. I loved hearing about the antics of my ancestors. For instance, there was Nina Wilcox Putnam, a fantastic and prolific writer who stretched all sorts of societal norms.

Then there was my great-grandmother, who wrote poetry, a past time that was passed down to my father. My mother also wrote poetry as well as monographs on subjects that interested her.

I started to write when I was young, imitating those around me. I “made” my first book of poems when I was in third grade. From that point on, I dreamt of the day when I could make real books.
